Victorian Charm and Modern Comfort
clean room helpful staff
This hotel provided an ideal stop after disembarking from the ferry. Our executive king shower room was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was high quality, and the staff were friendly and helpful (a great plus!).
The hotel had limited parking spaces. While I booked a slot for my camper van, it was a tight fit and might be an issue for larger vehicles or less experienced drivers.

The room featured chic furniture and pleasant décor. The bed offered great comfort and helped with restful sleep. The temperature control in the room worked effectively, maintaining a comfortable environment.

adequate lodging with minor downsides
spacious room clean room great staff inconvenient parking stair access missing warning
my "superior superking room shower" was quite spacious and clean. the waterfront and many restaurants were an easy walk. the staff i encountered were lovely, a point i value.
the gated parking, though paid for, proved inconvenient when i tried to carry my luggage to the room. the need to carry my luggage upstairs felt excessive during my international trip. the listing did not warn me about the stairs, or i missed it.

a wonderful stay
amazing reception spacious shower comfortable bed
bea at reception was amazing! she showed me around and provided all necessary information. the shower was spacious. the bed was the most comfortable i have ever experienced. bottled water was available in the room and towels were plentiful and fresh.
the gated parking required some effort to drag luggage to the room. this was a bit inconvenient as i was travelling internationally. i wish there was a warning about this beforehand.

Good Hotel But Not Perfect
great styling modern update amazing breakfast dog smell poor room doggy smell
This hotel has great styling and decoration. The historic building has a modern update, I think. Facilities were great, so useful.
The room we had smelt of dog. We were moved but as the night went on a doggy smell looked. It was very poor, you know. If you don't have a dog you would definitely smell it, which we did, honestly.

the breakfast was nice and quiet after dinner service.
the room smelled of dog, even after i moved to a different one, the smell returned later. i think the hotel needs to address this issue better.

shower room small room
The location was good for accessing the seafront.
Unfortunately, the room lacked cleanliness. The shower room in particular was not very clean. the website images use super wide-angle lenses. Our 'Executive King Shower' room was really quite small.

dog odor misleading photos
the room was a bit disappointing. there was a noticeable dog odor, even after i switched rooms. (i really dislike that smell) it. also, the website's photos made the rooms look much larger than they actually were. i felt a bit misled by that.
